Kitchen floor
Are you looking to replace your kitchen floor? Want something that will last years, if not decades? Hometown Flooring & Design Center?thinks that luxury vinyl is your most durable choice. Here are our reasons.
Composition
Luxury vinyl is a product that is a top seller in today?s flooring market. Today's technology has given us quality material. The vinyl comprises several layers that are pressed together, and a three-dimensional image is pressed upon them. This is the design layer. A top coat of vinyl is placed over the design layer. Then a backing layer is placed underneath. Sometimes manufacturers will put a protective layer over the top layer to prolong the vinyl's beauty. It comes in either plank, LVP, or tiles, LVT.
Waterproof
LVP and LVT are made up of plastic that is either a composite wood or composite tile layer. These layers can mimic what they look like, and it's hard at first glance to tell them apart from the real thing! The composite wood usually has a foaming material added to it to make it a little more comfortable. Both LVP and LVT can be exposed for long periods to water without any reaction whatsoever. So it won?t curl, ripple, or peel.
Attractiveness
The design layer, like we said, is composed of a three-dimensional image. So you can see exacting detail in the image, be it wood or tile. If it is a wood plank, then the flooring is micro-beveled and embossed. This gives it an aged look and feel.
